3D Technology for Teens ages 13-18 (10 Sessions, once per week)

Our 3D Printing and Modelling classes are designed to teach teenagers how to take their favorite things from pop culture and bring them to life using technology. Whether its a passionate idea or something to supplement their favorite hobbies we can teach kids how to replicate it and make it their own.

Here is a breakdown of what will be learned during the 10 week course:

  • The basics of 3D modelling (Fusion 360, CURA, Blender and ZBrush)

  • How to take your ideas from paper to digital

  • How to take models from your favorite games and print them

  • The parts of a 3D printer and how they work together (Both Resin and FDM)

  • Post processing of your prints (curing, sanding, painting, sealing)

  • Scanning your own face to put on a 3d model or using a 3d Scan of yourself to make the perfect fitting helmet

All 3D filament and post-processing tools are provided free of charge. If a student's print requires an electronic component (LED's, Battery Pack, Switches) we can order it through BC Robotics in Nanaimo or a similar robotics shop in Vancouver for an extra charge. If you are looking to make something that requires said components please contact us early so we can help you identify what you will need.

Each student will be walking away with:

  • Five to Ten 3D Printed Items,

  • A spot in our Art Gallery Showcase at the end of September

  • $50, $100, or $200 off a 3d Printer of their choosing (Discount levels are dependent on the cost and size of the printer).

If you want to learn how to do the above but don't know where to start please message us as we can help create an inclusive environment filled with learning and acceptance of all tech levels.
