3D Technology for Adults

(10 Sessions, once per week)

After the success of our course for Teenagers we had a lot of Parents come forward asking for a course of their own.  We are very excited to offer a 10 week course on 3D Printing and Modelling for Adults. 

Here is a list of things we will be covering during this program:

• The basics of 3D modelling (Fusion360, CURA, Blender, Zbrush)

• How to design your own model or pattern from scratch

• The parts of a 3D printer and how they work together (Both Resin and FDM)

• Slicing your 3D Model for printing

• Post Processing of your prints (curing, sanding, painting, sealing)

• Modelling in virtual reality

Each participant will be assigned a printer within the workshop for the 10 week course. All filament and post-processing supplies are provided.  If your print requires an electronics component we will  be able to order it for you from BC Robotics (Nanaimo) or one of the BC owned Robotics shops on the mainland.  All electronics components will require an extra charge.

All students in the Adult Classes receive:

• Six to Twelve 3D printed items

• A spot in our quarterly art gallery

• Up to to $200 off of the price of a new printer
